Mama Nutrition Shake

Mornings are often a whirlwind of getting three kiddos up, fed, and out the door for school. We drive across town to get our two fourth graders, along with another neighborhood child, dropped off at their school. Then zip back to midtown to drop off my 6th grader at her school. By the time I get home it is about 8:45 and I’ve been up for at least three hours. Hunger has set in, but now my brain is transitioning to work. If I’m not prepared, I’ll eat scraps of the kids breakfast and call it good. But it’s not '‘good”. I’m quickly off balance, foggy brain, and tempted to snack on whatever catches my attention first.

I’ve learned this isn’t sustainable, nor supportive for a healthy system. After starting a detox with EquiLife I am reminded of the importance and power of taking a simple five minutes to create something healthy and balanced for myself. In this journal entry, I’m sharing a simple base shake along with a couple delicious variations by Dr. Cabral at EquiLife.

I call the first one a ‘shake’ because you can literally put the ingredients in a glass jar, pop a lid on, and shake it! The others are more of a traditional smoothie and are best when blended. I use a Vitamix, but you use what you prefer.

All the below recipes include EquiLife Daily Nutritional Support. “It is a vegan, hypoallergenic protein powder, fortified with a wide range of activated vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, detox co-factors, and electrolytes, making it a one-stop-shop to fill the nutritional gaps in your diet.”

Base Vanilla Cinnamon Shake

  • 10-20 oz of water (I like mine more liquidy than thick.)

  • 2 scoops EquiLife Vanilla Daily Nutritional Support

  • 1/4-1/2 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon

  • 1/8-1/4 tsp Himylain Sea Salt

Add all ingredients into your favorite glass and mix with a mini frother, or shake it all up in a mason jar. The blender works too, I just try to have one less thing to clean.

You can use this as a base and build upon it, too! Add banana, berries, greens, nuts, seeds, etc.

The next two smoothies are directly from EquiLife. They are not only delicious but exactly what your body needs for all day nutritional support.
