Chocolate Frosty
As a child I didn’t get sugary cereals, happy meals, or lunchables. But once as a treat, my mom stopped at Wendy’s to get me a hamburger and french fries. NOT a kids a meal. JUST a hamburger and french fries. However, when she got home with her order, they had given her the wrong one, and there was a frosty inside.
Frosties are advertised as “cool, creamy and refreshing - thick enough to use a spoon, smooth enough to use a straw". To this day, I get a craving for one. And then I think about what the ingredients might be. Eh, no thanks.
That said, my cravings never just go away because I decide I don’t like the ingredients in something. In fact my cravings generally just continue to grow stronger until I feed them. Literally. My cravings are almost always food related, so they must be fed. Here is my version of Chocolate Frosty.
This recipe is my version of a Chocolate Frosty, made with clean, healthy ingredients. I top it with rice krispies, sliced banana, and a little dab of almond whip. It’s fun, yummy, and satisfies my craving while also delivering protein and other nutrients.
